We only work with translators who are highly qualified and experienced. They must hold a post-graduate translation qualification (or an equivalent qualification) plus have a minimum of two years’ practical experience. We select suppliers based on their specialisms in different sectors, so they have the knowledge and expertise needed for your exact requirements.

With over 4000 approved suppliers on our database, we’re confident we can find the perfect match. This sounds like a lot, but bear in mind there have been over 6000 applicants that didn’t meet our standards.

Atlas Translations was one of the first UK companies to achieve the ISO 17100:2017 (Translation Services) certification and we hold ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management). Every project we complete adheres to these strict standards. So it’s not just us saying we’ve done a good job, a third party can prove it!

We’re members of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), meaning we’re up to date with the latest in best practice across the industry.

Our translations come with a signed and stamped letter on our stationery, certifying that a recognised professional organisation (that’s us!) has approved it. Having done it thousands of times, we have established links with other professionals (such as solicitors) and can arrange notarised and legalised translations for acceptance by all UK official bodies.

We’ve been doing this for a long time. Over 35 years last time we checked! And in that time we’ve worked out what works. Every project has a dedicated project manager, to make sure everything goes smoothly and that our clients know what’s going on every step of the way.

We have our own custom-built project management system, affectionately known as Pedro. Pedro keeps us on-track with every client and allows us to perfectly match each project to one of our hand-selected suppliers

In our quest for quality, we always recommend proofreading to our clients. This is particularly important in sectors like medical and legal, but every document benefits from a second pair of expert eyes. If you’re working to ISO 17100 standards (and we are; we’ve got the certifications to prove it), proofreading isn’t just good practice: it’s a requirement.

At the end of each project, we always ask clients for feedback. While it’s nice to hear nice things about ourselves, we’re also really keen to know how we can be even better.
